Annabelle Olsson is a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD student at the Division of Psychiatry, UCL. Her doctoral research takes a socioecological approach to studying loneliness and social connection in people with severe mental illness, examining individual, relational, and structural factors through a combination of qualitative, epidemiological, and review methods. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and an MA in Health Humanities from UCL, and previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Cambridge.
